Description:
Cement resistors are resistors encapsulated in cement (actually refractory mortar, not cement, but a common name). The resistance wire is wound around an alkali-free, heat-resistant ceramic core, protected and secured with heat-resistant, moisture-resistant, and corrosion-resistant materials, and then placed within a square ceramic frame, sealed with special non-flammable, heat-resistant cement. There are two types of cement resistors: ordinary cement resistors and wire-wound cement resistors. Cement resistors are a type of wire-wound resistor, belonging to the category of high-power resistors, capable of handling larger currents. Their function is the same as ordinary resistors, but they can be used in high-current applications, such as in series with a motor to limit the motor's starting current. The resistance value is generally not high. Cement resistors are characterized by their small size, shock resistance, moisture resistance, heat resistance, good heat dissipation, and low price, and are widely used in power adapters, audio equipment, audio crossovers, instruments, meters, televisions, automobiles, and other equipment.
